Environment

Nepal's ecology and environment are diverse and sensitive. A rapidly growing population is putting pressure on the natural resource base, particularly water, land, and forest resources. Students have shown interest in wide ranging environment topics like deforestation, sanitation, mountain ecology, bio-fuels and many more. We make a special effort to arrange internship programs as per the student interests.

Qualifications: Preferably, students of Environmental Science/Studies are allowed to participate. Also, the students involved with social and environmental organizations are most welcome. Again, volunteers are expected to be enthusiastic, flexible and patient.

ENPHO

ENPHO is a service-oriented national Non Governmental Organization, established in 1990 that envisages contributing in sustainable community development by combining research and actions through the integrated programs in the environment and public health areas. ENPHO at present runs a government accredited laboratory for environmental monitoring and analysis and is actively involved in promoting eco-friendly technologies such as SODIS, Ecosan toilets and waste water treatment through reed bed systems.
