Internships In Nepal

Before my interning in Kathmandu, Nepal even began, we spent a day touring Kathmandu, exploring the major historical and religious sites that dot the city, I found myself separated from our group. I caught up with them a few minutes later, and when I did, I apologized to my professor for getting lost. “Maybe,” he said to me, “Maybe you weren’t.” Those words have echoed with me throughout the whole of my time here in Kathmandu; every experience, especially the most unexpected ones, have provided with new interests and opportunities. Thanks to Prudent Education Foundation for making this possible.

Plan it with Prudent:

The Prudent Education Foundation has been working to place a number of interns from various universities mainly in USA and UK. We make an effort to understand each student’s needs. Student’s can wish to intern in any subject which is available in Nepal and we will arrange it. Internship placements have been made ranging from social work, to teaching to Nepali art and architecture.

The testimonials from students is evidence enough to prove how our internships have benefited them:

“Fortunately, our AsiaNet/Freeman Foundation Grant group joined with the Prudent Foundation based out of the Kathmandu Guest House. Within just a few days after arriving, I was introduced to a very helpful contactwell immersed in the art community, Nepali photojournalist Deependra Bajracharya. My research would not have gone as smoothly without this original contact provided by the Prudent Foundation. The foundation made it possible for me to rent a local phone, making my research appointments much more time efficient. With her charming smile and friendly disposition, Ujalla Sthapit always greeted me with pleasant enthusiasm. She is extremely hardworking and goal-oriented. Ms. Shaguni Sakya made our group feel warmly welcomed with a lovely dinner at the guesthouse. She has a true gift for international relations. A conversation I had with her in the summer of 2009 actually inspired me to apply for this grant and return this summer. Mr. Udgum Khadka played a crucial role in the success of our grant research. Not only did he take a genuine interest in each researcher, provide arrangements for each researcher, and willingly answered any questions but he did so in an incredibly personable and pleasant manner. He has impressive time management skills and an ability to balance numerous tasks at once. I am deeply grateful for his help in my project and I treasure his friendship. The Prudent Foundation is a well-run, professional institution and based on my positive experience I would surely recommend their services. ”
